radiant heat will give you a more even heat than space heaters, or units that are fan forced….radiant heat works to heat objects in the room, rather than just provide heat to a space or area…..

Radiant heat works off a boiler normally so you will still need a gas source. You can get a boiler that runs off propane but if you are going to that length I would put in forced air furnace. A radiant heat system takes a few hours to heat up but lasts a long time even after you turn it off. In most cases the cost of a radiant systems can be almost twice the cost of a forced air system. If you crack a window on the opposite side of the house as the pellet stove I believe it will make the heat pull to that end of the house.
i installed radiant baseboard heaters in my house. they work well and were cheap. i think they cost a little more than a gas furnace but the initial cost is much less. i found them at some surplus website, plus i bought some used ones off ebay. they run on 220 and are permanent, not a space heater. i put thermostats on each of them.
